This record sounds like a loading screen to a sci-fi video game or maybe some sort of dreamy alien hookah lounge. Some may say these songs are repetitive and don’t build to anything, but that’s sort of the beauty in them. They make me feel relaxed, as if I’m floating down a river during sunset. A lot of songs hold a dreamy synth chord out and then slowly pitch it up and down making it feel kinda seasick. The drums are super cool on this, they sound like a slowed down bass and drum type beat (a little like Tame Impala). Track 9 sounds like I’m drunk walking back to my apartment by myself on a cold night and everything is in slow motion. Overall, very atmospheric and sounds like a hallucination.
